Welcome to Vallejo, California

Located in the southern-most part of Solano County, Vallejo enjoys a waterfront atmosphere that includes Mare Island Strait, Carquinez Strait and San Pablo Bay. It is located approximately 45 minutes, or 40 miles, between two major cities in Northern California, San Francisco and Sacramento. The city is located within the California Coastal Ranges.

The Waterfront Park at the Ferry Building is one of Vallejo’s jewels! Spend time walking with friends and family along the waterfront or walk your dogs. Several restaurants and also a brewery are right there.The city’s ferry terminal and ferry service have served as a model for the rest of the Bay Area, helping make Vallejo a transportation and commuter hub for the North Bay.It is the site of the Blue and Gold Fleet, the ferry commuter system serving several points in the San Francisco Bay Area on a daily basis.

Vallejo is home to 6 Flags Discovery Kingdom. This 135 acre theme park features three worlds in one kingdom, with wildlife shows and exhibits and plenty of roller coasters. Exciting family fun year round!

Of course you don’t want to miss the Solano County Fair held at the fairgrounds in Vallejo (adjacent to 6 Flags) held every summer. Plenty of family fun to experience!
